Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of QueueHawk, operated by Substring AG, Lindenhofstrasse 1, 3048 Worblaufen, Switzerland ("we", "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

QueueHawk is a hosted monitoring, alerting, and history service for Hangfire background jobs in .NET applications, accessed via a web dashboard and a NuGet package ("QueueHawk.Agent") that customers install in their own applications. We provide the service on a commercially reasonable-efforts basis; specific uptime commitments (SLAs) are not part of the standard plans described on our pricing page.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity under your account. One account represents one tenant/workspace; a tenant's Owner can invite additional team members under the same subscription.

3. Plans, billing, and cancellation

Paid plans are billed through Stripe, monthly or annually as selected at checkout. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the billing page in the dashboard — no contracts, no sales calls. Downgrading to a plan below your current usage (e.g. more applications than the new plan allows) does not delete existing data, but new applications above the new plan's limit cannot be created until you're back within it. Fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

4. Your data

You retain all rights to the data you submit to QueueHawk (job metadata, application names, team member information). We process it solely to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. On request, or a reasonable period after account closure, your data is deleted from our systems, subject to backups rotating out on their normal schedule and any legal retention obligations.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use QueueHawk to monitor applications you don't have the right to operate, to attempt to bypass plan limits or authentication mechanisms, to send job data containing content you know to be unlawful, or to otherwise interfere with the service's operation or other tenants' use of it.

6. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is kept brief where possible. Support channels and response expectations vary by plan (see pricing) — Agency plans receive priority support.

7. Intellectual property

The QueueHawk software, dashboard, and QueueHawk.Agent package remain the property of Substring AG. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our software to you; you're granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for the duration of your subscription.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Substring AG's liability for damages arising from the use of QueueHawk is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months preceding the claim, except in cases of intent or gross negligence. QueueHawk is a monitoring tool, not a replacement for your own operational safeguards — we're not liable for consequences of undetected job failures beyond what the service's own alerting is designed to catch.

9. Termination

Either party can terminate at any time — you by cancelling your subscription, us by giving reasonable notice, or immediately in case of a material breach of these Terms (e.g. abusive use, non-payment). On termination, access ends at the close of the current billing period unless immediate termination is warranted.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered account holders before they take effect.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Bern, Switzerland, to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
